  • Abstract
Colors of 40 hues with 9 levels of value, pictures of three clothes styles, i.e., occupational dress, sports wear and ceremonial dress, were selected as the stimuli. The E-Prime 2.0 was employed to test the perceptual gorgeousness of clothes with different color brightness and clothes styles as well as the subjects´ response time. Results show that colors with medium value are perceived to be more gorgeous, and the corresponding response time is relatively less. There exist significant differences between the perceptual gorgeousness of clothes with different color brightness and different clothes styles.
