  • Abstract
    PROFIBUS is one of the mainstream fieldbuses, and applied widely in much industrial control system. It is also used in the distributed automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS). This paper focuses on the study of data transmission of PROFIBUS-DP network system. Base on some discussion to the time delay problem of networked system, as well as data transmission and process, a simulation model is proposed and set up in this paper. The simulation model is set up using Simulink/MATLAB. The simulation model is described, and the results of simulation are analyzed in detail. By this simulation model, the time characteristics of the data transmission of PROFIBUS-DP network system can be expressed and analyzed clearly.
