  • Abstract
    In the numerically controlled manufacturing process of the spring, there are some problems such as lower automation and inconvenient operation. In view of this situation, the paper presents the approach of digital manufacturing for spring. The composition and the key technology of the digital manufacturing system are revealed, and an example is given to illustrate the system application. The digital manufacturing system provides the new method for spring coiling as well as forms the basis for integrating of spring´s design and manufacture.
