Abstract
CORBA and mobile agents are two popular network management technologies. This research investigates these two technologies and some existing integrated approaches thoroughly. Based on this investigation, a novel network management model is proposed, which provides a comprehensive, efficient approach to network management, by integrating CORBA and mobile agents technologies into a unified model and pertaining the advantages of each of the technologies. The result of the experiment showed that the performance of network management can be significantly improved.
