  • Abstract
    The thesis presents how to finding Chinese design elements in Han Dynasty figure drawings and adapting them for modern Chinese animation. The revival of Chinese national animation style can be achieved by researching the figure art of the Han Dynasty with original Chinese art form, seeing through the appearance to the essence that ancient Chinese created things, extracting the quintessence of the Chinese culture from the works of figure art since the Han Dynasty, and summarizing the characters and causes of the figures. Furthermore, we can conclude the grammar of art creation and let it be the methodology of the figure imaging of animation film that accords with modern Chinese audience´s aesthetic taste and national features and catches up with the time. Main research fruit of this thesis is the creation methods of Chinese individuating figure in animation film. The author tries to conclude and summarize the creation rules of Chinese figures, which can provide theories of animation figure design and support of realizing the creating techniques for animators in practical work.
