Abstract :
In this paper, one type of balun consisting of a broadside-coupled coplanar waveguide is presented. Based on a quasistatic analysis, combined with a network model of general coupled transmission lines, the feasible research and theoretic analysis of the balun are described. As an example, a symmetric broadside-coupled coplanar waveguide balun with an optimized configuration and computer analyzed output characteristics is designed
