Abstract
Self-similar burst traffic will reduce the link utilization and produce a longer latency, which affects real-time performance of the campus network. A simulation method of statistical multiplexing technology is proposed in this paper by using characteristics of packet/frame switch. We also allocate bandwidth and buffer reasonable. Thus the self-similarity traffic which impacts on the network can be reduced.
