Abstract :
In order to avoid the engine misfire, the misfire process of diesel engine was discussed with the method of crankshaft speed fluctuations. Based on the information synergetic theory, the misfire rate forecasting model of the engine was established and the engine misfire malfunction was inspected. The misfire diagnostic strategy of the diesel engine was put forward by the parameters on the rotate speed and the emission. The tests on the misfire pattern and the misfire rate were inspected and diagnosed on the single cylinder and multi cylinders of the engine, when the engine was steady condition and accelerated condition. The test result showed that the misfire diagnostic strategy could diagnose and forecast the misfire and the according emission.
