Abstract
This paper proposes a new approach for designing analog phase equalizers based on the symmetry of the impulse response, which is a meaningful measure of phase linearity. Phase equalization techniques based on group delay or phase delay are usually performed on a limited band, whose time response may not be adequate for the transmission of pulsed signals. The proposed technique is inherently a wide-band process, and so more adequate for systems that deal with pulsed signals. An equalization example is presented. The obtained results have demonstrated the effectiveness of the new design strategy for phase equalizers
