Abstract
Voltage reference buffers published in recent years for application to low-voltage switched-capacitor data converters are analyzed and compared in terms of power efficiency, settling behavior and power supply rejection. Design trade-offs are discussed. A novel switched-capacitor biased voltage reference buffer which is ideal for over- sampling ADCs is proposed and analyzed. This novel structure combines power efficiency, stability in settling, and high PSRR in low frequency.
