Abstract :
High-power operation of fiber-based ASE sources is reported. Using single-stage and two-stage cladding-pumped ytterbium-doped fiber configurations we obtained 62 W and 122 W of broadband ASE output respectively. The prospects for further improvement in performance are considered.
