Abstract :
Profound mapping data were accumulated during over hundred years´ mapping work of Chinese Traditional architecture. The data´s digital processing techniques are still in the primary stage, so most of the data are kept on material media till now. The paper studied the rapid modeling techniques of Chinese traditional architecture driven by mapping data, based on parametric modeling techniques. Through the comprehension and processing of Chinese architecture´s historic records, some digital design methods are realized. The data needed and missing for modeling are deducted intelligently, driven by witch the modeling work is completed rapidly.
