Abstract :
The doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) is characterized by natural low damped flux oscillations. When controlled with stator field orientation with impressed rotor currents, it has an unstable region. This occurs when the system is operating feeding the mains with considerable amount of reactive power. Several techniques can be used for the stabilization and damping of this system. This paper presents a review of the most known methods.
