Abstract :
The tendency of manufacturing execution system (MES) is service-oriented and reconfigurable and this paper researches the reconfigurability of service-oriented MES. It analyzes MES reconfigurability by making a reference to CIM-OSA and proposes three views, including function reconfigurability, data reconfigurability and process reconfigurability. Service-oriented MES is designed in a multi-tier architecture. After that, how to control and implement three views of reconfigurability in MES are researched based on Service Component Architecture, Service Bus, Service Data Object and standards for business process. Service-oriented MES is well reconfigurable so that it can facilitate system fast practices and workshop business agility.
