Abstract

Mobile radio systems for data communications in Germany and their state of introduction are described. Some application-areas and related systems are addressed e.g. the cellular Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM), trunked cellular packet radio by Modacom and ETSI-TETRA, radio paging ERMES, cordless telecommunication according to ETSI/DECT, mobile satellite radio, and wireless LANs
