Abstract :
DSP is a powerful tool for controlling electric motors. The high speed calculation capability of DSP enriches the flexibilities of a motor control system. Not only the traditional speed/position control including the associated signal generation for converters, but attractive additional capabilities can be provided such as autonomous gain tuning, torque ripple-free drives, speed and position sensorless AC drives, auto-measuring of electrical and mechanical parameters and real-time identification of parameter dynamics. The motor controller today is an autonomous, self-adaptive system
