Abstract :
This paper summarizes the preliminary design and tests of a non-contact biopotential electrode. Results of a non-contact ECG recording at 6 mm and 10 mm from the scalp are presented and compared to a body-surface ECG recording using wet electrodes. Some comments are made on its potential use as an EEG electrode.
