Abstract :
This paper presents the performance of different turbo coded modulation schemes in a Rayleigh multipath-fading channel. The performances of spectrally efficient multilevel modulation schemes combined with binary turbo codes are first observed. The results of the above scheme are then compared with that of turbo coded trellis coded modulation scheme (T-TCM). Simulation results show that the binary turbo codes combined with multilevel modulation schemes perform well in Rayleigh fading channels compared to the performance of T-TCM
