Abstract :
The paper establishes the mathematic models of five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in abc frame and transforms them to the decoupled spaces with a full-dimension decouple transforms matrix. The relationships between the torque and fundamental components, loss and harmonic components are revealed. To suppress the high third harmonic current appeared in five-phase machine especially, a novel harmonic elimination space vector modulation (HE-SVM) algorithm based on space vector theory is proposed. The advantages of the algorithm are validated by simulation in MATLAB/Simulink environment.
