Abstract :
At present, the primary methods of realizing AC/AC voltage transformation are frequency transformer, AC-DC-AC converter, matrix converter, high-frequency link AC/AC converters and single-stage AC/AC converters. In areas of high power conversion, taking into account to converter´s cost and the quality of output voltage, bridge mode AC/AC converter has some advantages. This converter can realize electrical isolation, high input power factor and low THD of output voltage etc. The paper proposes a new topology, which extends from the full-bridge mode three-level DC/DC converter topology family by using bi-directional switch to replace DC/DC converter´s uni-directional switches. Because of three-level voltage of high-frequency transformer, this converter can effectively improve the quality of power transformation.
