Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel joint diversity with multi-stream selection for error-rate minimization in multi-user spatial multiplexing systems with BD-precoding. The proposed scheme adaptively selects the user set, the transmit antenna subset and the number of multi-streams maximizing selection criterion. For complexity reduction, we employ the SNR-based selection criterion. The joint diversity with multi-stream selection can take benefits of multi-user diversity (MUD) and spatial diversity as well as array gain through selecting the best set. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme with exhaustive search improves the error probability over the conventional scheme by improvement of the diversity order and the SNR gain.
