  • Abstract
    By artificially introducing a time delay into the desired tip trajectory of a flexible arm it is possible to obtain an open-loop computed torque profile, which is almost causal. The authors show that using the concept of elastic wave propagation one can easily calculate a lower limit on the above time delay
