Abstract :
We theoretically address the thermo-optical response of multi-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) couplers infiltrated with nematic liquid crystals (LCs). The enhanced thermo-optical properties of LC-based PCF couplers are highly attractive for photo-thermal sensing applications.
