Abstract :
Problem 8 of the team workshop addresses the computational necessities involved with non-destructive testing. A differential probe moves above a metallic solid with a crack. We present in this article the methods used to solve this type of problem with the finite element methods developed within the FLUX software. To take into account the motion, the first technique used is the remeshing method and the second one is the sliding mesh method. These two methods are used with a surface crack and non meshed coils. The computed results have been compared with EDF measurements.
