Abstract
Microstrip technology has received special importance in the domain of mobile and wireless communications because of its numerous advantages like small size, light weight, polarization versatility and others. However, it still suffers from limitations in terms of several useful parameters like band width, power handling capacity etc. Researches at Jadavpur University by the authors focussed on improving the technology throughout this decade by overcoming these obstacles. Innovative designs, novelty and creative ideas as pursued at Jadavpur University, India on the topic mentioned are reported here. Manufacturing and operational aspects are noted. Factors of influence experienced and innovations made in these recent works are enlisted in brief.
