Abstract :
A reduced complexity Transform Domain LMS (TRLMS) adaptive filter (ADF) configured as an ALE over a narrow band is proposed. By utilizing the ´ZOOM´ FFT (ZFFT) in place of the FFT, a p-output FFT can be realized which covers the band of interest with resolution equivalent to a N-point FFT, where N = pM. With suitable choices of p and M, the computational complexity with the ZFFT may be significantly less than the TRLMS ADF. Simulation results are presented for a single and double weak sinusoid in wideband Gaussian noise.
