Abstract

This presentation summarizes the strategic and technical results of the EURESCOM PET-Lab. It concentrates on the IOP tests (interoperability tests), which lay the basis for future work. After a short description of the environment, the special challenges of such an international effort in TMN (telecommunication management network) experimentation are explained. The results give some hints on the current status of the CMIP (common management information protocol) based software products in the market. This paper reflects the joint effort of all PET-Lab staff at the different public network operators. The project tried to use existing results from specifications and research projects of EURESCOM and other research bodies
