On properties of models of social processes characterized by weak reciprocity

The mathematical model considered, and the associated results described, have application in connection with a wide variety of dynamic processes including, for example, certain models of interpersonal relationships, many-country arms-race models, Homans-type models of interaction in social groups, models of interdependent demand for a communication service, and models of the degree of acceptance, by each member of a group of individuals, of an idea or a political position.
