Abstract :
Laser machining presents new opportunities for producing microwave and electro-optic components and packages which are only now beginning to be exploited. Several application examples are described, with the particular case study of producing optical systems for the efficient coupling of diode laser radiation into single-mode fibres being discussed in some detail
