  • Abstract
    With the objective of isolating some of the sorts of training and background that can be valuable to researchers entering the emerging field of large scale system theory, the author traces the brief history of his personal involvement with large scale systems research. Those experiences that have led to significant progress or insight are identified and some key unresolved issues in large scale system theory are noted.
