Abstract :
The paper presents an original approach to the simulation of electrical systems based on Petri nets. After a brief introduction to Petri nets and high level Petri nets, the relation between electrical system and Petri representation is explained. In order to make the approach to the Petri nets easier, a hierarchical approach to the definition of the system is also proposed. A complete example of simulation and hierarchical description is also reported
