Abstract :
This paper discusses the stability of CNN with asymmetric opposite-sign templates and non-unity gain output functions. Many new stable states, NCCD-i (i=3,4,…,6) and TL-i (i=3,4,…,8) as well as shadow detection 4 and 2 (SD-1 and SD-2), are discovered, which differ from connected component detector (CCD) and new connected component detection I and 2 (NCCD-1 and NCCD-2) as well as thinning-like 4 and 2 (TL-1 and TL-2). These new stable states and their corresponding stable conditions are given
