Abstract :
In a previous paper a novel acousto-electric phase-locked loop (PLL) device was introduced. In this work further studies on the performance of this PLL are presented. More specifically, the hold-in-range, closed loop bandwidth, and noise response are derived as a function of the device parameters and input signal amplitude. The theoretical results were obtained by integrating analytical and computer simulation analyses. Supporting experimental data are supplied.
