Abstract :
Transient behaviour of a BJT can be accurately predicted by the piecewise-linear charge-control model developed here. Simplicity is obtained by sacrificing the accuracy in junction forward voltages which are usually negligible. The model´s strength is that it allows analytical results to be obtained for complicated nonlinear and chaotic phenomena in practical electronic circuits. The model´s accuracy is verified by comparing simulation with experiments on BJT power electronic circuits
