  • Abstract
    Based on the analysis of existing prime farmland delineation and the principal of CLUE-S model, the paper will explore a new method of prime farmland delineation. The paper firstly makes use of CLUE-S model to a case study. According to Lin Dong District, the result indicated that on quantity aspect, the difference between simulation and planning value 0.64%.on quality aspect, the part of low quality is slightly decreased, the part of medium quality increased a little, the part of high quality is largely unchanged the overall quality has not declined. The conclusion of the study is that this new method of delineation prime farmland using CLUE-S model is certain scientific and feasible and the method is useful exploration to delineate prime farmland.
