Abstract :
In this paper, we have proposed a novel strategy for dual-polarized antenna design. Two co-located slots are arranged orthogonal on a slender cylinder structure to achieve omnidirectional radiation pattern in the azimuthal plane. In a small volume of 83×11×11 mm3, the ports isolation is lower than -32.5 dB, and 10-dB impedance bandwidths cover the 2.4-GHz WLAN band for both polarizations. The simulation results show the potential application in 2.4-GHz WLAN multiple antenna systems, such as portable access points and mobile terminals. In the future work, we will fabricate the proposed the antenna to validate the design strategy. The diversity performance is also needed to examine.
