Abstract
An approach to teaching engineering of computer-aided software engineering (CASE) tools that combines detailed tool algorithm knowledge with an engineering process for such tools is proposed. A methodology for the inclusion of engineering disciplines in CASE development education is described. Teaching methods from first basic principles to more developed processes are suggested. Specific recommendations are made for curriculum development
