  • Abstract
The development of materials and their application to particular devices are presented. The ferroelectric materials with a diffused phase transition and their applications to micromechanics, adaptive optics, and SHF techniques are discussed. The photorefraction effect and light modulators are detailed. The application of ferroelectrics to microelectronics and IR techniques is described, and a probable relationship between ferroelectrics and high-temperature superconductors is identified
