  • Abstract
    The Wheeler (1959) cap method is regarded as the most accurate and simple for determining the efficiency of a small simple antenna. The antenna is usually modeled as series loss and radiation resistances. A new measurement method is proposed that accounts for a series loss resistance, a shunt loss conductance and transmission line losses.
