Abstract
Since new synthetic materials for special applications in applied electromagnetics are all special cases of the most general linear medium having bianisotropic constitutive relations, it is important to predict the electromagnetic behavior of this general medium. The conditions under which guided propagation in circular and coaxial waveguides filled with bianisotropic material can be described in terms of TE and TM modes are derived.
