Abstract
Conventionally, Thai consonants are composed of head and end of the consonant, closed loop, twists, curves and straight lines. Several well-known Thai fonts follow these traditional writing rules. However, these consonant features make it more difficult to obtain a set of G1-continuity cubic Bezier curves that fit to the contour of Thai consonants. In this study, JasmineUPC font has been chosen for the investigation because it provides some simplified features of Thai consonants such as head, closed loop and twist specification.
