Abstract :
This paper first reviews the historical development and evolution of adaptive array processing techniques to the present and provides comparative evaluations of various techniques that differ in domain (time frequency) and space (element-beam) of operation, constraint requirements, algorithm implementation and concept formulation. State-of-the-art adaptive processing techniques are then introduced for optimal processing of narrow-band and broadband multi-channel data in a multidomain, multiconstraint and multiple signal parameter estimate regime.
