Abstract
In this paper, starting from a previously developed electromagnetic model of earthing electrodes directly fed by a lightning stroke, the authors propose a useful improvement, oriented towards moments method application, to study scattering phenomena due to an incident field propagating into the soil. The case of a transient plane wave is considered and some examples of transient performances of scattered systems buried in the soil are reported
