Abstract
US Air Force/DOD installations generate millions of gallons of used POL annually. The quantities and variety of used POL are a function of the mission of each individual installation. An operationally acceptable and environmentally clean method for disposing of used POL by burning in local heating plant boilers will save individual installations millions of dollars in transportation, fuel, and disposal costs
