Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a comparison between the sink temperatures (adiabatic equilibrium temperatures) for a low-temperature, spacecraft radiator as computed without the idealization of purely specular/purely diffuse surfaces. Classical theory is sufficient to handle idealized surfaces; BIFAC (bi-directional radiation factor) theory handles the real surface property, in which the full bi-directional reflectance distribution characterizes the surface reflectance
