Abstract
The separation of two signals combined by convolution is often referred to as deconvolution. Many techniques have been proposed to achieve deconvolution, thus in 1931, Van-Cittert exposed an iterative deconvolution method extended by Bracewell (1954). More recently (1970) Jansson proposed a modified version of this procedure to realize positive reconstruction. On the other hand, this paper deals with a new modified version of this method to ensure the convergence in any case and remove oscillations introduced with the original algorithm. Lastly, it is proved that this new algorithm can be applied in the noisy case.
