  • Abstract
    Resolving power and performance of DOA estimation of array can be improved by using both temporal and spatial information. So the concept of temporal-spatial 2-dimension processing is developed. To solve the problem of frequency ambiguity in the conventional temporal-spatial 2-dimension processing, a novel 2-dimension MUSIC algorithm with jointly estimating "phase factor" and DOA is proposed. Then a fast DOA estimation algorithm based this new 2-dimension MUSIC algorithm is developed. Simulation experiments shows that the new 2-dimension MUSIC algorithm and the new fast algorithm both have outperformed the conventional MUSIC algorithm. Foremost the fast DOA estimation algorithm needs only one dimension search, but performs as well as the new 2-dimension MUSIC algorithm for DOA estimation.
