  • Abstract
The design of a No7 network encompasses the signalling related to voice services (telephone user part/ISDN user part) and to new services such as intelligent networks, GSM and telecommunication management networks. It is quite important that a common channel signalling network be robust to signaling transfer point and/or signaling channels failure. The model described below integrates generic potential failures in the design phase to account for this major feature. For voice services, the determination of the signalling traffic matrix from the voice routed traffic matrix is also covered
