Abstract
The leakage current and material performance of various naturally aged nonceramic distribution class insulators, referenced to glass cap and pin insulators, are presented and discussed. The insulators were energised under a severe marine environment for a period of six months, on a 22 kV insulator test rig situated at Koeberg insulator pollution test station in South Africa
