  • Abstract
    The paper describes three methods-spectral interpolation, polarization nulling, and pulse recovery-for the measurement of the optical parameters needed to determine the noise figure of erbium doped fiber amplifiers. The three techniques are experimentally compared, allowing us to conclude that the polarization nulling method is the more accurate and reproducible
